Sergej Jensen

If Christmas is too much of a glum prospect for you, then get yourself up to the White Cube in Hoxton to see the work of Danish artist Sergej Jensen. Me like. Personally, I’m retreating to the Hebrides for some unspoilt beauty and the prospect of wild space surrounded by an encroaching sea and powerful winds. Only fifteen people live on the island I’m visiting, and there are no shops, not even a pub. A couple of ferries rattling with bottles of booze and other desirables pull in each week. Retreat. Perspective. Space. The chance to see things afresh.

Latest Art in The Guardian

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

Well, we have placed an ad in The Guardian, dear chaps and chapesses, which went in Monday 5th December and will be repeated on Saturday 9th, for a brilliant salesperson. We did a shout-out not too long ago but we’re looking for someone really extremely hot and sparky who can sell advertising space as if it were ice-cream to children, who believes in the magazine and wants to tout it round the gallery circuit and raise its profile amongst the beautiful and the best. If this is you, or you know of someone who can walk the talk, nay strut their stuff with no qualms and who is dedicated to success, please check the ad and send us through your CV with a covering letter asap. We want to fill the post before Christmas and it will be a truly fantastic opportunity for the self-motivated, sunny, results-driven person who pips the post. Enough! Let me read all about you. Oh, and yeah, an uncontrollable love for art might serve you well too.
